Kerblam! is a computer based company! They have access to intergalactic internet right? And they gave the Doctor a FEZ!! The Doctor didn’t remember ordering a fez… So what if he didn’t. What if the Kerblam internet showed up to the computer in The Library and, after all it’s research, asked River for help. River just smiled and said “I can’t help you, but my husband can. Give him a Fez. He’ll do anything for a Fez if I know my Doctor. Especially if it comes with a call for help.” And that is how the plan hatched!
